My floors in the office have buckled. It is the only room in the house that has vinyl (I believe it is vinyl) and not original hardwood floors. The rest of the house has original hardwoods and they are not buckled. I’d like a quote for new floors (how much it would be to try to match the rest of the house) as well as a quote for less expensive floors like vinyl. Also- I want to get an opinion on how they have buckled. I believe it is because when it rains in the summer , the heat makes the water under the house evaporate up. Do I need to add a water barrier under the house? Do I need to add extra protection to the flooring so the floors don’t buckle again?
